Glowe Voltage – Series 1
(You can find technical specifications below, but if you’re not a battery expert? Read on. Instead of trying to come up with a catchy sales pitch we are going to do our best to explain what you can expect from our batteries in plain English.)
The Series 1 is our largest capacity battery, clocking in at over 90 amp hours of storage. This makes the Series 1 especially suited for delivering large amounts of power over a long period of time without charging.
Demo with your car off?
Want to be able to go full tilt at a campfire without your car running for hours?
Attend indoor car shows and need a reliable and long-lasting battery to power your LEDs or accessories all day without plugging in a car charger?
Plan on replacing your OEM lead acid/AGM?
If you said yes to any of the above this is the Glowe Voltage battery for you.
A Series 1 can comfortably support an 8,000 watt amplifier by itself.
Our “supported wattage” claim is based on both real world testing and several amplifier manufacturer’s maximum music output ratings. As an example, a Taramps Bass 8k has a listed maximum music consumption of 319 amps of current. An 8k Sundown Audio SFB we have tested at around 340 amps max. This battery can provide over 450 amps constant without falling below 12 volts.
Have a stock alternator? We recommend staying in the 8k watt range.
Have an upgraded (250+ amp) alternator? You should be solid for 10k-12k watts on music. Keep in mind though that many high output alternators do not provide all of their rated output (sometimes very little of it) at idle RPM.
13.8 volts is the minimum recommended charging voltage. 14.8 volts is the maximum recommended. If your cold start voltage is 15 – 15.2 volts, you’ll be fine as long as it’s not constant and drops back down to 14.8v or below.
The Series 1 can *easily* provide enough power to start any car on the road.
You can use a Series 1 battery with your stock lead acid/AGM battery, no isolator needed.
We do not recommend using these under the hood of your car, with the exception being engine bays that have an isolated compartment intended for your OEM battery.
